Fees & Scheduling At Therapeutic Health Associates
Integrative, evidence-based psychiatric care that supports your wellbeing.
Fees & scheduling
We believe that clear communication about fees and scheduling helps you plan your care with confidence.
We are a private-pay, out-of-network practice. This means we do not bill insurance directly, but we provide superbills you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Payment is due at the time of service.

Session Fees
Below you’ll find the current rates for each provider. These reflect the length of the appointment and the comprehensive nature of our integrative approach.
Scheduling Your Appointment
New patients begin by completing the New Patient Inquiry Form. Once received, our team will follow up to schedule your initial evaluation. We will then email new patient forms to you directly, or you may complete them in person before your first appointment. If you have questions about the forms or need assistance, we are happy to help.
A credit card authorization form is required to hold your appointment time.
Follow-up visits can be scheduled during your appointment or requested through the patient portal. Appointments are available Monday –Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments
We reserve your appointment time specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance.
- Late cancellations (under 24 hours) and missed appointments are billed at the provider’s no‑show rate (not the full session fee).
- This applies to both in‑person and virtual visits.
- Frequent late cancellations or missed appointments may affect continued scheduling.
We understand that emergencies happen. If something unexpected occurs, please reach out as soon as possible so we can discuss next steps.
Communication & Billing
All billing and scheduling communication occurs during business hours. Messages received after hours, on weekends, or on holidays will be returned the next business day.
Payment is processed at the time of service. If a card on file is declined, we’ll reach out to update your information. Balances must be cleared before future appointments can be scheduled.
Returned payments or bank fees may incur an administrative charge. For detailed financial terms, see the Financial Agreement in your new patient forms.
Insurance & Superbills
Therapeutic Health Associates does not participate with insurance networks. However, many patients receive partial reimbursement by submitting a superbill to their insurance provider. A superbill includes diagnostic and procedure codes for your visit.
- You may receive a superbill upon request.
- Reimbursement rates depend on your plan’s out-of-network benefits.
- We recommend contacting your insurance provider before your first visit to verify coverage for out-of-network psychiatric services.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, all patients are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of expected costs. This estimate outlines anticipated charges for evaluation and follow-up appointments based on your treatment plan. If your actual charges exceed the GFE by more than $400, you have the right to request a review.
We are happy to provide a GFE upon scheduling or at any time upon request.
Why We Have These Policies
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. Because we operate a small, focused practice, last-minute cancellations or missed appointments make it harder for others to access care. Our policies allow us to offer timely, reliable support to all our patients while respecting each person’s commitment to their own process.
These guidelines also protect continuity of care, ensuring that your appointments remain consistent, predictable, and available when you need them most.
