Integrative Mental Health At Therapeutic Health Associates

Personalized Psychiatry that Gets to The Root Causes for Lasting Wellness.

Comprehensive Mental Health Care Rooted in the Whole Person

At Therapeutic Health Associates, we offer a comprehensive, integrative approach to psychiatry that looks for the root causes of how you feel, not just the diagnosis or the symptom.

Our work begins with a deep understanding of your whole system. We look at your mind, body, nutrition, sleep, hormones, genetics, and daily habits to see how they connect and influence each other.

This comprehensive view allows us to see patterns that may be missed in traditional care.

Our approach helps to identify what might be driving symptoms beneath the surface, whether that’s inflammation, hormonal imbalance, nutritional deficiency, or chronic stress. Each detail helps us design a plan that restores balance and clarity. Integrative mental health means understanding those connections and using them to guide care that feels personal, intelligent, compassionate, and deeply effective.

Root-Cause Psychiatry Looks Beneath The Surface

Many of our clients come to us after years of feeling unheard or stuck. We commit to finding the root cause of mental health symptoms by looking beyond neurotransmitters and brain chemistry. We consider how your hormones, immune system, gut health, sleep, and daily stress influence your mind.

This deeper understanding allows us to pinpoint where imbalances begin and address the root cause, whenever possible, directly. This could include your diet, environment, or physiology as well as any medication you’re taking, age, stress, lifestyle, supplements and more. By bringing your biology and psychology into alignment, we can help you restore both stability and vitality.

Common reasons people seek integrative care include:

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out. Many of our patients begin by saying, “I just don’t feel like myself anymore,” and we start from there.

How We Work Together

Our process is designed to be thorough, collaborative, and deeply individualized. From your first conversation, we take time to understand your needs and comfort level. The initial appointment is a 90-minute comprehensive evaluation that covers your history, symptoms, and goals for care. We move at your pace, focusing on what feels most relevant to you.

Together, we create a treatment plan that may include medication, lab testing, supplements, and targeted lifestyle recommendations. We emphasize balance, finding the minimum effective dose, simplifying medication regimens, and layering in supportive therapies when appropriate. You remain in control of each step, and we welcome open discussion about your preferences and boundaries.

We review labs when indicated, including thyroid, vitamin D, B12, iron studies, and sometimes cortisol or other genetic testing to help guide medication selection. Our goal is to understand your unique biochemistry and align it with your personal goals for wellbeing.

Follow-up visits are typically scheduled monthly during active treatment adjustments, then spaced to every 2–3 months once stability is achieved. Every appointment is collaborative, paced with care, and allows time for questions, reflection, and next steps.

Integrative Tools We May Use

We integrate medical expertise with evidence-based lifestyle and wellness tools to create a comprehensive plan. Each element below contributes to understanding the whole picture of your mental and physical health.
Pharmacogenetic Testing
We can explore how your genes may influence your response to certain medications, helping guide more personalized treatment options and reduce trial and error.
Nutritional & Metabolic Labs
Testing may include thyroid function, vitamin D, B12, folate and possibly iron and ferritin, or magnesium and zinc levels. These labs give insight into energy, mood, and concentration patterns, revealing where support may be most effective.
Supplements & Botanicals
Thoughtfully chosen supplements such as magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, or certain herbs can help stabilize mood and support overall brain and body health when integrated carefully into your plan.
Lifestyle & Mind-Body Practices
We provide individualized recommendations around nutrition, movement, sleep, and mindfulness. These are small, sustainable steps that help your mind and body regain equilibrium and resilience.
Medication Management
When medication is part of care, we take a conservative, precise approach. Each prescription is closely monitored to ensure effectiveness, minimize side effects, and fit seamlessly with the rest of your treatment plan.

Every component is optional and collaborative.

Together, we design a plan that aligns with your values and helps you feel clear, supported, and in balance.
